Hi!  Welcome to Cultivating Life at Home!  I’m Jenna Fleming and I have been blogging for about eight years.  I write true stories about faith, family, and finding the way home.  I have been told that I have deep roots, and I credit this to my parents and grandparents who cultivated life in my soul as a young girl learning what it means to love a place and a people.  I grew up on Jesus, words, and the South Florida sun, which have all shaped me.  Today, I live in middle Tennessee, married to a pastor, and together we have three incredible kids.  Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine myself in this particular place with these amazing people, but here I am and I am here to tell you my story as it unfolds.  But this blog is not intended just for me to tell my story, but to inspire yours as well as you cultivate life in your home.  I believe with all of my heart that we are all artists.  “Why?” you may ask.  Well, God’s Word tells us that all people are made in the image of God, who is the grand Artist.  We are all given a mandate to cultivate the earth, to “be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it” (Genesis 1:28).  God blessed both man and woman with this charge, and when we see ourselves as God sees us- loved, able, and creative, then we can cultivate life in others.  This is my prayer and my hope with this blog- that you will be inspired to use whatever gifts and talents you have to make eternal investments in the people and in the place where God has rooted you.  Join me in cultivating life at home!
